The film depicts the daily lives of a team that constructs and transports funeral palaces in northern Thailand. These Lanna-style funeral palaces form an essential part of the funeral procession and are eventually cremated together with the deceased. Beyond presenting the beliefs and traditions surrounding death in the region, the film also raises questions through its observation of funerals in various forms
