What happens when your best friend starts working for OpenAI? Director Brent Katz captures the tension in his childhood friend group as they reunite at a wedding in 2022, just before the dawn of the AI boom. One friend is computer scientist Dan Selsam, PhD. Another is the Hollywood comedy writer Simon Rich. Though the wedding is about to begin, Dan shows Simon, Brent and the Groom a less-restricted version of the chatbot technology that, seven months later, would disrupt the whole world. This is the story of friendship under pressure, of clashing visions of the future, and how it feels when your friend's wildest dreams start to scare you.
