Inspired by the literary classic The Tale of the Lady’s Fan by Haruo Sato, a Japanese female director travels to a historic manor in Tainan for location filming. What begins as a creative pilgrimage to her “spiritual home” soon dissolves into a series of unexpected disruptions on set. As the cameras roll, a century-spanning odyssey of images, memory, and self-discovery begins to unfold.
