The hero of the film is a literary critic, Doctor of Philology, professor of the Department of the History of Russian Literature at the Faculty of Philology of St. Petersburg State University, a researcher of the life and work of Vladimir Nabokov – Boris Valentinovich Averin. Russian Russian writers, about the hidden meanings of the Russian soul and about human destiny unfold in front of the viewer the most interesting monologues about Russian writers, about the hidden meanings of the Russian soul and about human fate. Drawing pictures of the past, remembering his childhood, the hero of the film finds answers to the eternal questions of our existence there. We see Boris Valentinovich not only in an official, but also at home, which helps to reveal the image more deeply.
