Determined to end her unrequited love for her bodyguard Jiang Lin Chuan, Shen Yi Mei agrees to marry into the Pei family in place of another bride, becoming the wife of a comatose heir. Unbeknownst to her, Jiang Lin Chuan is actually the heir to a wealthy family. Because of a keepsake, Jiang Lin Chuan mistakenly believes that Shen Yi Yi is the woman he has been searching for all along. As a result, he repeatedly hurts Shen Yi Mei, who is secretly raising their biological daughter, An An. When Shen Yi Mei discovers the birthmark on Jiang Lin Chuan's shoulder, she finally realizes that he is An An's father. However, manipulated by others, Jiang Lin Chuan refuses to believe the truth.
